Born in Extremadura (Spain), Rodrigo Parejo is an experimental jazz flutist, improviser, composer and educator. Characterized by his versatility working broadly in different music worlds from Jazz to Punk, crossing the sounds of World-Music (Flamenco, Latin, Brazilian, Gamelan...), Classical, Contemporary, Experimental, Electronic, Noise, Ambient, Free Jazz,...

Currently, Rodrigo is based in The Netherlands working on his personal project MOA (Matters of Asia), where he colaborates with different asian artists from the music and dance world, and it´s mainly inspired on the different sounds of the Asian culture, exposed on diverse contemporary compositions influenced by the worlds of jazz music, film music, electronic, ambient, electric jazz rock, gamelan, flamenco,..
Rodrigo Parejo was born in Extremadura, Spain in 1981. Started playing classical music at the age of 8, continuing his studies in Madrid and The Netherlands where he graduated with Honors in Jazz Performance at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. After positively completing his Masters Degree, he kept traveling and spending periods in countries as Canada, New York, Cambodia, Indonesia, Norway,… for studying, researching and performing in places as Banff Center of Arts, School for Improvisation, Institute Seni Indonesia,…learning from influencing musicians as John Ruocco, Bobby Martínez, Dave Douglas, Ralph Alessi, Tony Malaby, Ben Street, Joshua Redman, Jen Shyu,…
Rodrigo as a versatile musician and improviser, is characterized by having a particular sensibility, musicality and natural easiness on adapting with different type of musicians, dancers and artists from diverse cultures and social backgrounds.
