SAMBAYÁ
This is a project orbiting Brazilian music universe and expanding to genders like Jazz and Pop.
Sambayá come up from Miguel Rubio’s compositions, which bring up a trip and they draw a sound map open to the sensitivity and imagination of those who listen them. His music opens a small window to a hiden corner in the big city, where new species can be seen populating the urban space, filling it up with new colors and sounds. An oneiric world is created, helped by the lyrics, which are small tales or portraits
We are a band with a fresh sound and a modern ensemble (guitar, voices, electric bass, keyboards, flute and drums). On stage, Sambayá creates a magic atmosphere full of emotion and it beats on the highly contagious rhythm of Brazilian music.
This project owes a lot to Tom Jobim, Egberto Gismonti, Chico Buarque, Toninho Horta, Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, Lenine and so many more
